“We’ll Fix The One You Have”…

…In the making. Ice cream / fabric part done (for the most part).

#occupywallstreet I like this guy and his sign. While I don’t know much about these protests, I know we have to care for one another.

Yesterday Raj and Liz and I took our dogs to ocean beach. It was awesome.

Carissa (as usual) posted something I like and so here I am reblogging.

///Gabriel Kuri and Holiday Receipt Cards///

Today, while at work I stumbled across the work of Gabriel Kuri. I was instantly drawn to his Triptych (shown above). I was reminded that our lives, our mundane actions are ruled by a relentless series of actions and transactions that firmly locate us as economic beings. There is also an element of soft data being sorted into a wool pattern that I see a feminist act. Even though I am sure that they are not intended to be feminist.

It seems only natural, while in an economic depression, baring witness to protests daily and hearing how the world hates American consumption, to apply a critique to the cost of the upcoming holidays. But this is a sweet “wish you well.” It intends to say, “Enjoy the holidays, be merry & mindful.” Or atleast that is what I hope.
